Due to the high level of interest, we will be offering a second broadcast of the May 8, 2022 webinar: Homeless Status: Recordkeeping Requirements on Friday, May 11, 2012.

Please do not register for both webinars. If you have already registered for the Tuesday, May 8th presentation, but would prefer to attend the Friday’s broadcast, please cancel your registration for the Tuesday, May 8th event by clicking on the “cancel your registration” link at the bottom of the confirmation email that you received from GoToWebinar and use the link below to register for the Friday, May 11th event.

This webinar is the first in a two-part series on documentation. The second part of the series, to be offered next week, will be on “Recordkeeping Requirements for At Risk of Homelessness and Income”.

The first webinar will focus on recordkeeping requirements for the Final Rule of the Definition of Homelessness. In addition to a review of acceptable documentation for each category of homelessness, this webinar will explore HUD’s preferred order for documentation, as well as standards for ensuring that records maintained by program staff sufficiently demonstrate compliance with the recordkeeping requirements.

Please note that this two-part series on documentation is in follow-up to the “Determining Homeless and At-Risk Status, Income and Disability” webinar, which originally aired on December 13, 2011. Therefore, viewers will be expected to be familiar with the information presented in that webinar before attending this webinar. Additionally, HUD recommends that viewers have the “Criteria and Recordkeeping Requirements for the Definition of Homeless” available for reference while viewing this webinar.
