Finding a Technical Assistance (TA) Organization
Technical assistance (TA) organizations are available to help McKinney-Vento grantees, HOPWA grantees, and other homeless assistance providers to better plan, design, and administer their projects and Continuum of Care strategies. TA organizations can assist grantees with specific programmatic requirements, such as performance reporting and long-term strategic planning.
To locate a TA organization near you that can provide you with direct technical assistance, click on your state in the map below. Note that only organizations that have been awarded local McKinney-Vento or HOPWA technical assistance grants are included.
If you contact your HUD Field Office to discuss your TA needs, the Field Office may be able to fund the TA engagement. HUD funding will depend on (1) whether the proposed work is an eligible TA activity and (2) whether your HUD Field Office has TA resources available.

The HRE provides information about TA organizations for the convenience of agencies involved in assisting persons who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless. HUD does not endorse these organizations and is not responsible for the technical assistance products or services they provide. Agencies interested in receiving technical assistance are encouraged to research TA provider organizations before purchasing products or services.
